Those are lovely. The second one is quite hauntingly melancholy...

Oh yes! Very striking images and yes, 'haunting' is a great description, particularly for the black and white one. Thank you for these, they've really cheered up my f'list!

Thankyou, both, I've had a black and white version of the picture as my PC wallpaper for years and often wondered where it came from thinking it was pre Professionals. That was until I re-watched 'Foxhole on the Roof' the other day and it suddenly stood out to me like a beacon. I amazed to finally find it after all this time and it was nice to have a version to be able to work on.

Lovely Doyle images! I especially like the high contrast of the first one.

Oh, very nice. I particularly like the first one--so dramatic. Thank you for sharing these!

Thanks so much everyone but it's his face that does the magic, I don't have very much to do with it at all really. They're both the same pic which is nothing more than a screen shot.
The top one has a black and white filter a little shadow and then a filter called 'ink wash' applied. It's like a cross between watercolour and Ink effects and appears quite pleasing. The bottom one had a simple classic paint effect over it and nothing more.
